Spicy mango salsa is super refreshing, sweet spicy and tangy salsa recipe made with mangoes and serrano chile. The sweetness of mangos perfectly balances the peppery spicy taste and heat of serrano chile and results in the perfect mango salsa recipe that goes great with anything.

    spicy mango salsa

This Spicy Mango Salsa is just the recipe for a summer barbecue!  Serve it with tortilla chips or top it on any main dish like fish or savoury pancakes. It tastes absolutely delicious.

Let's face it, some days we all need some recipes that do not take much effort to put together and still turn out to be a crowd pleaser. There are always days when some friends suddenly turn up and you want to feed them some tasty bites. Or maybe a weekday evening when you just want to fix up a chilled drink and a quick snack  which is  better than plain chips, right?

This spicy mango salsa recipe is one of those simple recipes which can make your plain jane chips to a perfect party pleaser appetizer :).  I like to add avacado for creaminess. With all healthy ingredients, the sweetness of mango, and buttery avocado is perfectly balanced by spicy taste and mild heat from serrano peppers. This is perfect salsa recipe for you chips and salsa bowl.

Mango season has started though I am not a big fan of mangoes,  I do like to eat mangoes once in while { Yes! there are people who are not crazy about mangoes :)}.

What I love most about this salsa recipe is, there is a taste of mangoes but it's not overpowering at all. In fact, the sweetness of mangoes is perfectly balanced by peppery serrano and sharpness of red onion and tangy taste of lime.

I used Alphonso mangoes to make salsa. These work best in the recipe because you want the smoothness and sweetness in this salsa. And if you can't find serrano chilli easily, you can easily substitute that with any  chille variety that is mild and has little flesh.

This one is one of quickest recipe and perfect recipe for quick mango snack.  Thats why I love this most, the first reason is obviously the taste. Only other two that come close to this spicy salsa recipe are Fully Loaded Nachos and Chaat Masala Kale chips.

This is almost a no cook recipe mango salsa except roasting these serrano peppers. You can even use pre roasted peppers to make it absolutely no cook recipe.

For roasting serrano peppers, just put them on skewers and then put the serrano chili over direct flame and cook for just about a minute while rotating from all sides.
