    Meal planning ideas and few basic principles of planning Indian Meals effectively.
    Indian meal planning Ideas for Busy People

    Meal Plans For Busy Moms/ People

    Whether you are Work at Home Mom or work regular office hours mom, one of the main challenges that urban mom faces is upset routines and every day there is one question what's for dinner and many a time challenging work schedule meals are ordered out, there is no packed lunch to carry to school or office.

    All this requires certain discipline and a pre-planning so that there are no skipped meals followed by junk eating at school canteen or office cafeteria and cooking meal does not look like a Herculean task to accomplish. That is why I thought I will do a Post especially on this Topic of Meal Plans for Busy Moms

    For me this habit of menu planning started when I stopped working regular job and started working from home. It was too easy to forget the meal time so when it was past meal time and I was too hungry there are was always some packed snacks with sugary soda to rely on until I realised its affecting my health and making my hormonal imbalance worse. So I decided to device a system where I and my family can have home cooked meals.

    It's not that I am totally in love with meal planning, but for me, some sort of structured routine works always better than spur of the moment decision more { I like to be organized most of the times} so in case of food too I try to plan ahead and chalk out the menu for the week for better time management.

    After experimenting with the meal by meal listing I decided that it does not work for me, it takes out the fun of what's for dinner? so what I do instead is grocery shop and plan meals around those ingredients, and not like traditional menu planning { plan and buy grocery accordingly }

    You can roast Bell peppers in advance and store for later use { See How to Roast Bell Peppers}

    All you need is to take small, gradual but regular steps for leaving chaos and start living chaos-free life. I hope following resources can help you in providing some ideas for your own meal plans. Why only Moms, even if you are not Mom and busy doing other stuff that you need to, or love to but at the same time do not want to compromise on home cooked meals, some of these ideas might work with you too.

      How long to chopped veggies last in the fridge? How to prevent drying/ flavor transfer between veggies? I have tried pre chopping but found they lost flavor or texture was not as nice after a few days.
