Spanish Rice Recipe

  1. Wash and dry the rice before you want to cook.
  2. In a dry pan cook dry rice while continuously stirring them for 4-5 minutes so that rice become toasty light brown.
  3. Heat oil in a pan add oil and add the onion, stir and cook till the onions are soft and translucent.
  4. Add the garlic and cook for sometime again.
  5. Add the rice to the mix and stir to combine.
  6. Now add vegetable broth, oregano, salt chopped tomatoes and tomato paste, potatoes(if using) and combine.
  7. Cover it with lid and cook for 15 minutes on medium heat (if cooking in pan. If pressure cooking pressure cook for 10 min)
  8. Serve hot when all the juices have been soaked in and rice is cooked.
Recipe Notes
  1. Use any type of white rice or brown rice as preferred.
  2. Wash and dry the rice before you want to cook.
  3. Use tomato salsa in place of raw tomatoes.
  4. Add red pepper and red chilli to give more color and flavor to dish.
