It can be a tricky task when it comes to packing bags. We plan to do everything in an organized manner but end up with a messy room. Our whole wardrobe seems just perfect to carry everything along. But a clever traveller would carry just the right amount of clothes. This way, not just can you carry bags easily but also leave some space for goods you are going to shop.

The Packing list varies from person to person and cannot be restricted. But here are some suggestion that may help you pack for summer in Italy.

    Floral print dresses

Along summer comes the bright floral print. This is an ideal wear for summers. Not only it looks pretty, it keeps you cool enough to roam around in the heat. These dresses will help you blend in with formally dressed Italians and not make you stand out. Also, keep a dress with sleeves if you are planning to visit the church.

    Sunglasses

If you are going to travel under the sun, don’t forget to keep shades. In the scorching heat of Italy, they will prove to be a good campaign.

    Sunscreen lotion

Another not to- forget item is sunblock, unless you are planning to get tanned. The heat of Italy should not be underestimated as it can also cause sunburns and ruin your trip. Sunburns are not fun and try as much as you can to avoid them. In case you forget to carry or run out of lotion, you can buy one from Italy itself. Hat-

    Hat/Cap

Again, to avoid heat, sunburns and walk around comfortably, keep a hat. It will protect you from the sun while you are on the streets. It also goes very well with dresses as well as tops.

    SwimSuit

A good day can be spend relaxing at the beaches of Italy. So don’t miss out to pack your swim suit or swimming shorts. You can also relax at the poolside of your hotel and have a fun time but you will need a swim suit for that.

    Multi-plug charger

If you want your phones, iPods, and other electronic gadgets to keep working, make sure to buy an appropriate multi-functional plug adaptor. Since different countries have different plugs and work on different voltages, a multi-plug will be of great

    Sanitizers, wet wipe tissues

During any point of your journey, you will require these. These can be easily carried in your handbags and would be of use from time to time. Due to the heat, it would be sweaty, so carry these for your convenience.

    Flats, walking shoes

Keep a pair of flats to go with your dresses. They are perfect for summers. Since you will be walking a lot, a pair of comfortable shoes is always wise to carry.

    Scarfs

They look pretty and trendy in the summer season. They go well with everything. Also, they might save you from sun rays and can be used to cover yourself in the church.

    Shorts

If you want to do as Italians do and blend in, try avoiding shorts. You might not see a lot of them in denim shorts as they prefer being in formals even in hot weather. In fact, I am always in awe of the dressing sense they have, especially the older generation who take pride in dressing and more often than not so well dressed in formals or semi formals.

Shorts would stand you out from the crowd and mark you as a tourist. This might seek attention from thieves and pickpockets and also increases the possibility of being chased by Italian Romeos down the street. Dresses are anytime better option over shorts to travel in Italy.

So what are you waiting for? Get back to packing for a summer in Italy and enjoy the beautiful sights and smells of this beautiful country
