Chawal ke Pakore | How to make Chawal ke Pakore

Chawal ke pakore is deep fried fritters or pakora usually served as a tea time snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cooked rice
  • 3 Tbsp Gram flour besan
  • 4 Tbsp Semolina sooji
  • 1 green chilli chopped
  • 2-3 Tbsp Coriander Chopped
  • 3-4 Tbsp Bean sprout optional
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  • Mix everything except oil in a mixing bowl.
  • Add enough water to make a batter of medium consistency.
  • Heat oil till the point a smoke starts to appear.
  • Reduce the heat slightly and check by dropping small spoonful of the batter if the batter remains together fry other chawal ke pakore similarly.
  • Otherwise add 1-2 tablespoon of besan/gramflour and deep fry all the fritters or Chawal ke pakore.
  • Serve hot with some fried green chilli (optional), ketchup or green chutney.
