Bread Pakora Recipe - How to Make Bread Pakora

Ingredients

For aloo filling,

  • 1 cup potatoes mashed and boiled
  • 2-3 tablespoon coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 teaspoon green chilis finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Anar Dana crushed
  • ¼ teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 2 tablespoon Ginger grated

For the besan Batter

  • 1 cup gram flour Besan
  • ½ teaspoon carom seeds/ajwain
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Dhania powder
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 4 sandwich bread

Instructions

  • For making Aloo stuffing, mix boiled potatoes, spice powders, coriander leaves and anardana and mix them well. 
  • Mix the batter ingredients together with as much water needed to make a smooth thick batter.
  • Take Two bread slices,apply mashed potato filling on both sides, spread it well with your hands.
  • Place a paneer slice in the middle and stack them together as sandwiches.
  • Dip in batter and deep fry until golden brown.

2) Another stuffing for Bread Pakora

  • Same besan batter.
  • Take three slices of bread , on one slice apply tomato sauce - spread it evenly, place a paneer slice on it.
  • Spread some sauce on the bread to be placed on top. Cover it with that slice.
  • Now spread green chutney on that slice and  place a paneer slice in top.
  • Season the paneer with some crushed pepper and salt.
  • Spread green chutney on another slice of bread and cover the paneer to make a triple Decker sandwich.
  • Heat up the oil in a kadahi.
  • When oil is hot, dip the stuffed bread in chickpeas flour pakora batter and deep fry till golden brown.

Notes

While frying the pakoras in hot oil, keep pouring a bit of oil on top for even cooking.
