Spicy Roast Potatoes

Spicy roast potatoes recipe to make Indian roast potatoes in a pan or oven. I am sharing here a good seasoning for potatoes that is healthy and 100% tasty.

Ingredients

  • 400 grams boiled potatoes
  • 2 tablespoon Peanut oil
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon Pomegranate powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 3 tablespoon roasted and ground flaxseed powder
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  • In a pan heat oil, add salt, turmeric, coriander powder, pomegranate powder, red chilli powder and stir well.
  • Now add boiled potatoes which are cut into cubes.
  • Mix gently to coat all the spices on the potatoes.
  • Cook them until the potatoes are slightly crisp from all the sides.
  • Now sprinkle ground flaxseed and toasted sesame seeds and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Potatoes are nicely coated with spices and are crispy now.
  • Enjoy as toast topping, sandwich filling with paratha and curd or just like that as a snack with tea.

Notes

  • Do not use too starchy potatoes which break very easily after boiling.
  • Do not over boil potatoes should be firm after boiling.
  • Add ground flaxseed towards the end for taste and preserving nutrition.
  • You can add a few drops of lemon and chopped coriander if you like.
