Vrat Wale Sookhe Aloo - Falahari Aloo

Ingredients

  • 400 g potato boiled
  • 2 Tbsp Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds jeera
  • 2 Tsp Sesame seeds toasted
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Tsp Red chilli powder lal mirch ka powder
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder Dhania Powder
  • 1 teaspoon mango powder amchoor
  • ½ teaspoon cumin powder jeera powder
  • 2 green chillis chopped
  • 1 Tsp ginger chopped
  • 4-5 Tbsp Coriander leaves/cilantro chopped

Instructions

  • Cut boiled potatoes into small cubes.
  • Heat ghee in a pan, add ginger and green chilli along with cumin seeds.
  • Cook for a minute and add boiled and cubed potatoes.
  • Stir fry for 2-3 minutes and add cumin powder, red chilli powder, Salt, coriander powder, mango powder and stir well to combine.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes in 2-3 more minutes on slow heat. Add 1-2 tablespoon of water if required.
  • Switch off the heat and sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and chopped coriander before serving.
  • You can serve these spicy falahari potato with kootu ki roti for vrat. You can serve them as it is or with whole wheat paratha.
