- 2 cups Basmati rice long grain
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- ½ teaspoon salt
Wash the rice in a pot 3-4 times or till the water runs clear.
Soak the rice in water for 15 minutes.
Drain out the water.
Add the same amount of water as rice and add them both to the inner pot of the instant pot.
Add 1tsp of butter or ghee as well as ½tsp of salt.
Close the lid and turn the valve to a sealing position.
Pressure cook for 4 minutes on low pressure.
Once timer of instant pot beans, wait for 8 minutes before moving the valve to the venting position.
After complete release of pressure open the lid and fluff the rice gently with a fork or silicone spatula. Your instant pot basmati rice is ready to serve.
