Instructions
In a bowl, combine the whipping cream and powdered sugar. Whip until soft peaks form.
Add in the mascarpone, cardamom powder, and saffron water and whip.
Fill a piping bag with the cream mixture and set aside.
In a separate bowl, dip the lady fingers into the unsweetened rasmalai milk until soaked.
In a serving bowl, pipe a layer of the cream mixture, followed by a layer of soaked lady fingers and crumbled rasmalai.
Top with another layer of the cream mixture.
Finally, drizzle saffron water, sprinkle chopped pistachios and garnish edible rose petals.
Rekha's Notes
- Make sure the whipping cream is very cold for optimal whipping.
- For extra flavor, steep the saffron in warm water before adding it to the cream mixture.
- Soak the lady fingers just enough to absorb the milk without falling apart.
- Let the dessert chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour to set the flavors.
