Shirazi Salad Recipe

Here is a simple recipe for Shirazi salad:

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tomatoes large, diced
  • 1 cucumber peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup parsley chopped
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • Salt to taste
  • black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix together the diced tomatoes, cucumbers and parsley.
  • Squeeze the lime juice or vinegar over the vegetables and mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Optional: Stir in the chopped mint and crumbled feta cheese.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Serve the salad chilled as a side dish or as a topping for grilled meats or fish.
  • You can also add some red radish, green onion or green pepper to make it more colorful and flavorful. Some variations may also include a little bit of olive oil to enhance the flavor.
