- 1 cup walnuts halves or pieces
- 1/2 cup sugar granulated
- 1 tablespoon butter unsalted
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder (optional)
Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add butter
Add the granulated sugar to the skillet, spreading it out evenly.
Once the sugar begins to melt and caramelize around the edges, add the walnuts to the skillet.
Stir the walnuts continuously to coat them evenly with the caramelized sugar.
Remove the skillet from the heat and allow the walnuts cool and harden.
Once cooled, break apart any clumps of candied walnuts and store them in an airtight container until ready to use.
