Candied Walnuts Recipe

Candied walnuts are a delightful combination of crunchy and sweet, making them a versatile addition to many dishes or a satisfying snack on their own

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup walnuts halves or pieces
  • 1/2 cup sugar granulated
  • 1 tablespoon butter unsalted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add butter
  • Add the granulated sugar to the skillet, spreading it out evenly.
  • Once the sugar begins to melt and caramelize around the edges, add the walnuts to the skillet.
  • Stir the walnuts continuously to coat them evenly with the caramelized sugar.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and allow the walnuts cool and harden.
  • Once cooled, break apart any clumps of candied walnuts and store them in an airtight container until ready to use.
