Rose Pistachio basil seed pudding, a delicious, quick, make ahead, no-cook breakfast recipe for summer. This is a cooling, nutritious and immunity boosting All in one!

    Basil seed pudding, quick n

It’s really hot outside, and cooking full breakfast is a task that I am really don’t looking forward to so it’s time to cook light, refreshing breakfast that you can enjoy all summer long.

It is made with two cooling ingredients Basil seeds(sabja) and Gond katira (tragacanth gum) and a delicious rose sherbet flavour.

We all love chia pudding for breakfast but do you know you can make breakfast with basil seeds (sabja) as well ! You can make this Rose Pistachio basil seed pudding a whole lot quicker and it is equally nutritious as chia pudding.

So today I am sharing with you this basil seed pudding in rose and pistachio flavour. It’s super easy to make and tastes absolutely delicious.

It’s vegan, dairy-free, protein packed, light, refreshing and absolutely no-cook breakfast. You don’t even have to wait for hours after soaking chia seeds. Because Basil seeds actually do not require soaking too much ,these plump up in 10 minutes. (Health Benefits)

Another thing that I love to add is tragacanth gum(Gond katira). it provides relief from heat and prevents heat stroke. This is easily available in a health store or any Indian store near you. It’s cooling Ayurvedic ingredient for summer. (Health Benefits)

In case you can find it you must use it. Otherwise just make this breakfast pudding with basil seeds.

You can serve/ eat this as breakfast, snack or even as dessert! All you need is these basic 5 ingredients.

    Basil Seeds

    Tragacanth Gum

Milk ( Almond milk or coconut for vegan pudding and regular low fat milk for non-vegan option)

Rose syrup ( You can use any flavour strawberry, orange, chocolate it’s totally upto you)

    Pistachio for a nutty crunch

A simple no-brainer recipe you can change up the flavour and use any fruit puree to jazz it up and add variation. A healthy meal that will keep you energised for long!

You can prepare it and keep in the fridge previous night and in the morning just top it up with fruits or nuts and breakfast is ready!

I make single serve portions in the glass / mason jar and it’s super easy in the morning! Not many dishes to clean and pick me up and ready to go breakfast Jar is ready 🙂

    Basil Seed/sabja Pudding

You are the first person outside of my family to use Gond Katira . Such a joy , to see you include these "ancient" ingredients which are so beneficial as well.

Thanks Susie! I usually make my own syrup but sometimes when in pinch I buy it.
