Paneer nuggets are a tasty and crispy snack. One of the simplest paneer appetizer, my go-to recipe for sudden guests or quick party appetizer. I promise you will love these veg nuggets. And, I included a substitution for a low carb vegetarian nuggets recipe as well.
Small bites of paneer, coated with breading and baked or shallow fried is perfect appetizer recipe. Pack it in Kid’s lunch box and I promise you this will be one of most asked tiffin box.
Along with bread crumbs to coat the paneer nuggets I added sesame seeds to the breading mixture. This not only adds a nutty taste to the Paneer nuggets but adds tons of nutrition. Sesame seeds are very rich in micronutrients as well as add healthy fat.
How to Make Low Carb Nuggets
If you want to make low carb nuggets, just replace gram flour batter with flax seed batter (2.5 Tsp flax seed mixed with 3-4tbsp water). Also, substitute breadcrumbs with coarsely pounded almonds. Spray them with Oil and bake at 180c in a preheated oven for 15-Mins.
If you want to make Vegan Nuggets, you can replace Paneer with Tofu.
Tips for Making Perfect Paneer Nuggets
To make perfect paneer Nuggets, I suggest marinating them in the marinade for minimum 20 minutes. You can make them with marination, but keeping them enhances flavor.
I have not used ginger garlic paste in the marinade if you absolutely love them you can go ahead and add them.
You can either use store bought paneer or homemade paneer for the Paneer nuggets. Whichever you choose to make sure it is soft but firm at the same time.
