        The part that is unclear is in the recipe for the salt solution that is stored. What is the water to salt ratio for the preparation of the solution that is stored for future use.

        1. I store the concentrated water in the fridge. When it’s time to make drink take 1 teaspoon of concentrated solution in a glass/tumbler and add about 200mls of water and use it.

        1 c warm water
        4 tbsp pink himalayan salt
        2 tbsp apple cider vinegar (ACV)
        2 tbsp honey (optional)
        Mix in the warm water, stir the pink salt, ACV, honey mix well, then drink first thing in morning on an empty stomach; repeat around same time every day.

          Next morning you take a teaspoon add that one teaspoon of water in 8oz water add in raw honey and ACV with mother. Stir it well and have it empty stomach.

      2. If you are planning major back surgery you don’t need to lose weight. After surgery your body will use all of its energy to heal and weight will disappear. Be careful! Your back takes priority to heal!

    Hi, unclear as to water. One part says half cup of water to 4 T salt and below that says 4 cups water. Which to use?

    1. Hi Joni, First part is about preparing the concentrate. First you prepare the concentrate also known as sole water. Which is sufficient to be divided to prepare 4 cups of pink salt water. Usually we store the concentrate in the fridge and prepare servings as needed.

    OK.. this is confusing to me when I read it.
    Let’s see if I’m misunderstood your instructions.
    First you mix the water and salt. You let it desolve overnight in the refrigerator. Take it out of the refrigerator mix with 8 Oz’s of warm water. Add vinegar and optional honey to the first glass of water. Then you would add vinegar and optional honey to the stored pink salt solution AFTER you use the the tsp in your morning water in the morning. Or, do you continue to only use the salt solution in your morning water and then add the vinegar and optional honey after you’ve put the stored salt solution in the water? Please help with my confusion. Thank you!

  6. I have a quick question. Ever since I started with menopause I cannot lose a pound, and this is become so depressing for me because I’ve never had a weight problem my entire life. I really want to give this a chance. Can I buy the Himalayan pink salt and a grocery store or do I have to get it on Amazon or in a specialty store? I think I’ve got the rest of the recipe.

      I have lost 10 lbs in 7 days with this routine.

      1/4 t. Himalayan pink salt with 8-12 oz warm water *I use 12 oz warm water, 1/4 tsp Himalayan salt (bought on Amazon). I then add a T. of turmeric and 1 T ginger. 1 t. Apple Cider Vinegar I then add 1/2 t of real lemon juice, 1/2 t of real coconut water for hydration and a t. of raw, unfiltered honey. Drink in the morning on an empty stomach. Drink slowly. You can have food or drink after 30 mins.

        Does the order of adding each ingredient matter? Is each ingredient essential? 1 tablespoon of turmeric seems excessive. 1 tablespoon of ginger also seems like too much. What is the source of your recipe? Are you still using this, and if yes, how much additional weight did you lose? Did you also change your diet and/or do more exercise during the 7 days when you lost 10 pounds?

    Hello and thank you for the recepie. What if I just want to make this daily without the sole water? Today I did the room temp water, 1tsp pink salt and 1tsp ACV with Mother. It was tough for me to get down as ACV too strong smell wise for me. Can I replace the ACV with lemon? Thank you for your help!

  9. Thank you for this recipe. A few questions: Does this recipe without the optional honey break a fast? I’d like to use this with intermitant fasting, which has worked so well for me in the past, but not so well now.
    Also, do you use the large Himalayan pink salt, or the finer grind? That would make a big difference in the amount of salt per teaspoon. Can you use ounces by weight instead of teaspoons. That would make things equal if you use different size salt. Also, one ounce by volume of water equals one ounce by weight (1.038 ounces to be exact.)

      I have shown the type of salt that I use in this post itself. It’s neither too big a crystal nor very fine. Without the honey, this drink is essentially just water plus electrolytes, so it should not break most intermittent-fasting protocols (check with your doctor if you’re on a strict “water-only” fast or have blood-pressure concerns).For accuracy, To make sole water I mix about 1.4 oz of pink salt with 1/2 cup (120ml) water, let undissolved crystals settle, then stir 1 tsp (5 ml) of that sole into 8-10 fl oz (240-300 ml) of water for each serving.
