Homemade Apple Ice Tea. Simple and so easy to make and absolutely perfect drink for the summertime. This summer try this delicious Apple iced tea recipe for a refreshed and rejuvenated feeling!

Fruity drinks are perfect to serve as summer drinks. Being an ardent tea fan iced tea is my favourite refreshing drink to cool down within summers.

But the packaged iced tea is too sweet which I usually avoid. SO, the next best solution to enjoy the iced tea at home is, to make your own ice tea.

These days I am completely digging the cold brews so instead of steeping in hot water allow the tea leaves to sit in regular water overnight and use that cold brew tea for making iced tea it will add a gentle flavour of tea to the Apple iced tea.

The above recipe gives you basic iced tea which is refreshing and super quick to make. But you know what’s better than regular iced tea? It is Flavoured iced tea. Peach iced tea and homemade Apple iced tea are the absolute best fruity drinks when I am serving non-alcoholic summer drinks.

Making iced tea at home is super easy and you can control the sweetness. When you make it at home, you can make small little tweaks according to your personal preference.  And, that’s what makes homemade iced tea even more special! Isn’t it.

    Ingredients for Apple iced tea

Apples: Slice the apples. I use either Fuji apples or green apples for a slightly tart taste

    Apple juice

    Lemon or lime juice

    Mint leaves

    Water

    Honey

    Ice

How to Make Apple Iced Tea?

    1. Heat water in a pan.
    2. While heating water takes care not to boil it completely just before boiling add tea leaves and allow the tea leaves to steep and sit in hot water for 3 minutes.
    3. After that, strain it using a tea filter. Cool the liquid for 20 minutes and add lemon juice and honey if you are using it. I don't use honey as apple juice gives it a great amount of sweetness.
    4. To make apple iced tea add apple juice in the jar add lemon wedges, ice cubes, and thinly sliced apple. Also, add crushed mint leaves.
    5. Pour this apple iced tea in a glass and garnish it with a lemon slice, mint leaves and garnish of apple slices as shown in video.
    6. The chilled glass of refreshing Apple Iced tea is ready. Enjoy!

    Recipe Notes

    • In this homemade apple Iced tea recipe, you can use green apples instead of red apples that I have used and it becomes Green apple iced tea.
    • You can use green tea as a replacement for regular tea I have used it becomes Apple Iced Green tea.

    Make Ahead Freezer Tip

For making apple iced tea, you can make honey and lemon ice tea and keep it in the refrigerator and proceed with the rest of the recipe as shown in the video. Lemon honey tea stays good in the fridge for a minimum of 2 days.
