INDIAN DINNER PLAN FOR THE WEEK

    Monday Dinner Plan

MEAL:  Sindhi Kadhi, Chawal/Steamed Rice, Aloo Katli Boondi Raita, Aam ka Achaar and Chopped Salad.

This delicious and tangy Sindhi Kadhi can be paired up with either rice or roti. Spice up with the right Indian masalas and savour every bite you have.

Meal Prep: Veggies can be chopped the night before or during the weekly meal prep. For the raita, you can set the curd in the previous night or use store-bought yogurt.

    Tuesday Dinner Plan

MEAL: Dahi Aloo, Punjabi Langar wali Dal, Roti, Pickle and Salad.

Langar wali daal tastes best with any form of potatoes. Don’t forget to spice your dinner with some salad and pickles.

Meal Prep: You can keep boiled potatoes ready in the fridge. Onion and tomato masala can be made during weekend prep and stored in the fridge.

    Wednesday Dinner Plan

MEAL: Papad ki Sabzi, Beetroot Raita, Chapati, Salad

It’s mid-week and you want to make something very quick. You can try this delicious Rajasthani papad ki sabzi and beetroot raita with some steamed rice / Roti (you can buy pre-made half-cooked chapatis if you are feeling lazy 😀 ) A green salad on the side with some lemon is always a good idea to add taste and nutrition.

Meal Prep: Not much meal prep is required for this meal. You can substitute Beetroot puree for raita with dehydrated beetroot powder which is easily available in the market these days.

    Thursday DInner Plan

MEAL: Matar Mushroom Curry, Moong dal fry and roti with Mixed green salad.

Keep your dinner light and simple matar mushroom ki sabzi, moong ki dhuli dal and roti. This amazing combination of a dal and sabzi is an all-time favourite of Indians.

Meal Prep: Bhuna masala can be made during the weekend. I use frozen matar/peas and mushrooms take hardly any time to slice and cook. Yellow Moong dal again is super easy to cook you can make tadka in advance on the weekend and mix it with freshly boiled dal.

    Friday Dinner Plan

MEAL:  Paneer Tikka Masala, Aloo Methi ki sabzi, and Tandoori Roti.

    Indian Meal Plan

It has been 4 days into the week and it is time to try out something different. You can try out Paneer Tikka Masala and Aloo methi ki sabzi if you want to enjoy a wholesome, filling meal. If a Non-vegetarian meal is your choice you can cook chicken tikka masala.

    Saturday Dinner Plan

We prefer to dine out with family on Saturdays, but if you are staying in, any of these pasta recipes with Any healthy and delicious salads can be a good option as per your preference.

    Sunday Lunch Plan

    Instant Pot Rajma Chawal

It is officially a Rajma chawal day for the vegetarians and I strongly recommend cooking Rajma curry or kidney beans curry with chawal and serving it with plain dahi /yogurt with papad and salad on the sides. If you are a non-vegetarian Biryani makes a perfect Sunday lunch this Hyderabadi chicken biryani with Dahi Papad Raita and pickle is a great idea too.
